The Annual Camping Trip

So, last week we went on a big camping trip for 8 days with my family.  We had a lot of fun and I put a few of the pictures and some video into a movie for this.  I was going to put it on here, but YouTube muted it because of copyright.  So, I put it on my facebook page.  You can check it out there.

Haircuts and Crafts

Okay, so it’s been a while, I know.  I just  haven’t had time to write much of anything lately.  That and there’s not really been anything interesting going on around here.  Here’s an update on the little that HAS happened.  First…I MADE IT!!!!!!!!!!  I was finally able to donate my hair!  In case you couldn’t remember…this was the last time I took a picture before:

And here’s my haircut after:

And yes, I realize that one side is longer than the other…Tonya says I need to even it out, but I like it!  But I’m not the only one who got a haircut!  Piper got her first haircut recently, too.  Here’s how cute she is…

Also, if you look at the new picture of her on the sidebar..it’s super cute too!

The next thing is that we just had our first craft booth this past weekend at Smithfield Health Days and it was great!  Shalyn and I both took the week before off and we got a lot done.  We had so many people ask for our card so they could contact us about ordering more stuff that we realized that we needed to get our webpage up and running.  Our best sellers were our little “piggy” banks (piggy is in quotes because they weren’t actually pigs).  Here’s what they looked like:

We also did His/Hers banks that were really cute (especially since the money slots were rigged so that if you put money in his side it goes into hers)  Here they are.

Anyway, that’s about it….If you’re interested in our website, it should be up and running soon, check it out:  www.powellcrafts.com

Bad News

So, my computer died...I know, sad huh. I'm on my laptop now, but I don't have any pictures or anything on here so don't expect anything cool for a while.

It has been a while since my last post. Nothing really is going on around here, just hanging out and feeling sorry for myself. I can't believe how different my life is than I had expected it to be. I basically have nothing to speak of...I have my puppy, who I LOVE, but she just doesn't replace what I'm really wanting. I have my job, which sucks because when you work at Walmart people think you deserve to be treated like crap, no matter how much you try to help them with their needs. I have my husband who I never see anymore and when we do have time together, he spends it sleeping. And finally, I have my TV shows, which help to pass the time. So, I guess this is my life...sitting around and watching Supernatural episodes on my lappy.
Oh well, at least I'm healthy.

Our New Baby

Please welcome the newest member of the Powell family...Piper Eira Powell!

 DSCN0474DSCN0476

Piper is about 7 weeks old and is a Miniature Schnauzer.  And no, she is not peeing on my floor in the second picture.  She does the cutest things, like running sideways.  Auntie Sarah Jane came over the other night to play with her and ended up torturing her with a sock.  Take a look

You Had To Expect This...

I meant to get to this entry sooner, but I got busy.  But now, as I wait for my pies to bake, I finally have time to comment on this:  TWILIGHT is now in theaters!!!!!  I went to see this opening night and it was awesome!  Obviously they couldn't fit the whole book into a 2 hour movie, so there were some great scenes cut out, but I loved it!  There was just one thing I was upset about...THEY COMPLETELY RUINED THE SPARKLY SCENE!!!  Ok, I'm over it.  I just thought I would share my opinion with y'all.  It was totally worth the hour and a half of waiting in line outside in the cold to see.  And yes, I had purchased my ticket the week before.

I wasn't sure about their choice of actors for Edward.  I mean how can Cedric Diggory be considered a perfect male specimen?  But after seeing the movie, I think he did really well...and I formed a little bit of a crush:

Anyway, it was good and I recommend it to anyone looking for a good show...

Oh, and I just found this hilarious spoof of the trailer, check it out

It's the final countdown...

I know, I know...lame title.  Until I get some pictures of Halloween (I forgot to take my camera to work so Sarah Jane is giving me some of her's), I needed something to talk about on here.  I've decided that in my quest to grow my hair long enough to donate it, I would put a countdown on here to help me stick to my guns.  Here's the starting picture:

I now have about 6 inches left to grow before I can cut and, more importantly, dye it.  I need the support, so keep me in line here, guys.

I guess I do have a few pictures of Halloween costumes.  These are all our nieces and nephews (and a really cute Gavin, son of Ember)

This is Michelle's baby, Lexie.        And Scott's Gavin.

And finally Ember's Gavin (you can also see Sarah Jane as Daphne in the background)

The official Halloween entry is coming soon!
